La ciudad también reafirmó su compromiso con la vivienda asequible, buscando apoyar el crecimiento poblacional mediante desarrollos de uso mixto y soluciones habitacionales flexibles.
Para estimular el crecimiento económico y mejorar la calidad de vida, la CRA ofrece una variedad de subvenciones e incentivos—desde mejoras de fachadas hasta mejoras de infraestructura—diseñados para apoyar tanto a pequeños negocios como a grandes desarrolladores.
La participación comunitaria sigue siendo clave en la evolución de la CRA. Aunque la encuesta pública ya cerró, los funcionarios están revisando las respuestas para asegurar que las voces de los residentes influyan en el plan final. Los asistentes locales expresaron optimismo y urgencia.
“Creo que la interacción comunitaria con los funcionarios del gobierno y discutir planes futuros es una gran oportunidad que los ciudadanos deben aprovechar,” dijo Carlos Díaz, residente de Kissimmee.

Un ambiente de unión comunitaria se vivió en The Cube, ubicado en el 120 de Broadway en el centro de Kissimmee, durante el evento especial Bingo en The Cube. Patrocinado por Matador Restaurant, The Cube y PHCA Medical Group, y con la invitación personal de la alcaldesa de Kissimmee, Jackie Espinosa, el evento tuvo como objetivo fomentar el compañerismo y la creación de redes entre los residentes.
La alcaldesa Espinosa asistió al evento junto al jefe de policía de Kissimmee, Charles “Chuck” Broadway, y expresó su entusiasmo por iniciativas que fortalecen los lazos comunitarios. “Apoyo este tipo de eventos donde la comunidad puede reunirse, disfrutar y establecer conexiones significativas—especialmente nuestros ciudadanos retirados, veteranos y personas de la tercera edad,” comentó a LatinOsceola News.
El jefe Broadway, recientemente nombrado para liderar el Departamento de Policía de Kissimmee, compartió su compromiso con la seguridad pública. “Estoy comprometido con la seguridad de nuestra comunidad y valoro la oportunidad de reunirme con los ciudadanos, escuchar sus inquietudes y compartir nuestras iniciativas de seguridad,” afirmó.
Broadway asume su cargo en un momento de transición para el departamento, tras la renuncia del jefe anterior por presunta conducta ilegal e inapropiada, y la reciente suspensión del subjefe Munoz debido a una investigación interna. Con el objetivo de restaurar la confianza pública, el jefe Broadway ya ha comenzado a implementar reformas en los procedimientos y a reclutar oficiales capacitados para servir a la ciudad.

A vibrant sense of community filled the air at The Cube on 120 Broadway in Downtown Kissimmee, where residents gathered for a special event: Bingo at The Cube. Sponsored by Matador Restaurant, The Cube, and PHCA Medical Group, and personally invited by Kissimmee Mayor Jackie Espinosa, the gathering aimed to foster networking and companionship among locals.
Mayor Espinosa, who attended the event alongside Kissimmee Chief of Police Charles “Chuck” Broadway, expressed her enthusiasm for initiatives that bring people together. “I support events like these where our community can meet, enjoy each other’s company, and build meaningful connections—especially for our retired citizens, veterans, and golden age members,” she told LatinOsceola News.
Chief Broadway, newly appointed to lead the Kissimmee Police Department, echoed the sentiment. “I’m committed to the safety of our community and value opportunities to meet with residents, hear their concerns, and share our safety initiatives,” he said.
Broadway steps into his role during a time of transition for the department, following the resignation of the previous chief amid allegations of misconduct and the recent suspension of Deputy Chief Munoz due to an internal investigation. Determined to restore public trust, Chief Broadway has already begun implementing procedural reforms and recruiting qualified officers to serve the city.

Held at Kissimmee City Hall from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, the free event welcomed guests with a colorful art exhibit showcasing local Hispanic artists, live musical performances that echoed the rhythms of Latin America, and light refreshments that added a flavorful touch to the celebration.

La Ciudad de Kissimmee inauguró oficialmente el Mes de la Herencia Hispana con su recepción anual la tarde del martes, reuniendo a residentes, artistas y líderes comunitarios para rendir homenaje al legado vibrante y las contribuciones continuas de la comunidad hispana.
